Associate attorney position for small downtown New Orleans insurance defense firm. Seeking candidates with 1-4 years of litigation experience - will consider those with insurance defense practice experience or candidates whose experience has been primarily in plaintiff personal injury, but who have the specific desire to shift over into the defense realm. Terrific attorneys for whom to work, closely-knit group that get along in a very collegial firm environment. Must have strong litigation experience with discovery and research & writing, plus experience either in taking depositions or at a minimum, having attended enough and being ready to begin taking depo's on one's own; some trial experience, either 1st or 2nd chair, or enough attendance in general at trials to be able to slip into a 2nd or first chair position on more minor issues; and have handled some motions practice in court.
