    In this position, you will:

    Work under the direction of a Senior Accountant performing detailed work assignments in one or several of the following areas: receivables, payables, payroll, property, general ledger, and financial statements,

    Be assigned to bookkeeping for clients, maintaining client records including but not limited to;

    Operating computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information,

    Classifying, recording, and summarizing numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers,

    Recording debits, credits, and totals for accounts in computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software,

    Complying with federal, state, client and company policies, procedures, and regulations,

    Coding documents according to company or client procedures,

    Reconciling or noting and reporting discrepancies found in records,

    Prepare tax returns under strict supervision, research tax questions, prepare schedules, and work with a Tax Senior and/or Tax Manager in preparing returns or various schedules for review,

    Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects,

    Perform the detail work of financial and compliance audits under the supervision of a Senior or Manager in conducting compliance and financial audits, along with testing internal controls and information systems,

    Assisting bookkeeper in performance of duties which are delegated to bookkeeper by Staff Level 1,

    Preliminary cost analyses and report preparation.

     

    What are we looking for in an Accounting Intern?

    Accounting degree or equivalent in process or completed

    0 – 3 years of experience

    Professional licenses or designations not necessary

    No supervisory responsibilities with this position
