McJ is looking for an executive producer to lead, mentor and inspire a team of producers while driving top-tier creative production across a dynamic piece of business.

As executive producer, you’ll own the production process from start to finish — guiding projects of all sizes and levels of complexity, ensuring ideas are brought to life at the highest level, and building a culture where creative thinking, operational excellence and collaboration thrive.

    What You’ll Do

Lead with Vision: Oversee all aspects of production — from concept development through post — ensuring seamless delivery of best-in-class creative work.

Inspire and Mentor: Guide a team of producers — including freelancers. Champion their growth, foster trust and build an environment where they can thrive.

Build Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate closely with department leads, internal teams, clients and external partners to develop smart, scalable production strategies.

Raise the Bar: Establish efficient, sustainable production processes while relentlessly pushing creative quality and craft standards forward.

Stay Ahead of the Curve: Be on the pulse of production trends, new platforms and diverse creative talent. Bring innovative solutions to the table and keep the agency on the cutting edge.

    Key Responsibilities

Manage full production lifecycles on a range of projects — big and small, fast and complex.

Create and oversee budgets, timelines, scopes of work and all production documentation.

Ensure flawless execution with strong attention to detail and a commitment to creative integrity.

Mentor, delegate and support your team while matching assignments to individual strengths.

Serve as the main production point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders.

Champion underrepresented voices and creators, both internally and externally.

Lead team meetings, track project milestones and clearly communicate progress.

Collaborate on scopes and estimates; track and report on production spend.

    What You Bring

10+ years of hands-on production experience in a creative-led environment.

Proven leadership skills and a track record of mentoring high-performing teams. Exceptional problem-solving, organizational and communication abilities.

An entrepreneurial mindset — you’re proactive, solutions-driven and thrive under pressure.

A network of top-tier talent and vendor relationships across the production landscape.

Deep understanding of the creative process and a passion for delivering world-class work.

Flexibility to travel and work outside traditional hours when needed.

A commitment to inclusion and curiosity about where culture and creativity are heading next.

This role requires someone to be based in either Austin or Houston. Open to relocation!

This is a chance to lead and shape incredible work, grow an exceptional team and make a meaningful impact on a bold, creative agency. If you’re a champion of craft, a mentor at heart and a production powerhouse — we want to hear from you.

Flexible work from home options available.
