    Job Description

    Telemundo 33 KCSO Sacramento is seeking a dynamic, experienced Executive Producer to lead our Spanish‑language news operation. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily editorial vision, production quality, and execution of our newscasts across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong newsroom leader with excellent editorial judgment, a passion for serving the local Latino community, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, breaking‑news environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide editorial leadership and daily oversight of all Telemundo 33 newscasts
    • Collaborate with the News Director to develop and execute the station’s overall news strategy
    • Lead story selection, rundowns, and show stacking to ensure compelling, accurate, and relevant coverage
    • Supervise producers and collaborate closely with anchors, reporters, assignment desk, and digital teams
    • Ensure newscasts meet the highest standards of journalistic integrity, storytelling, and production quality
    • Oversee breaking news coverage and make rapid editorial decisions under deadline pressure
    • Mentor and develop producers, fostering creativity, accountability, and teamwork
    • Ensure all content complies with station policies, FCC regulations, and ethical journalism standards
    • Work closely with digital and social teams to extend on‑air content across multiple platforms
    • Represent the newsroom professionally in internal meetings and, when needed, in community settings
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • Fluency in Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
    • Minimum 5+ years of television news production experience, including lead or senior producer roles
    • Strong editorial judgment with deep understanding of Spanish‑language audiences
    • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills
    • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as news demands
    • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and produce high‑quality content consistently
    • Experience with breaking news, live coverage, and special reports
    • Proficiency with newsroom systems, rundowns, and production workflows
    • Knowledge of the Sacramento region and California issues strongly preferred

    Eligibility Requirements

    • Must be willing to work in Sacramento, CA
    • Must be 18 years or greater
    • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

    Additional Job Requirements

    Salary range: $85,000 - $105,000
