Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will assist Accounting Department and Project Management team in recording all job related expenses and change orders for accuracy and entry _ ._ The AP specialist will report to the senior Accountant. The AP specialist will also interact with project managers and other project team members. This person will also assist with answering the phones and greeting office visitors.

General Responsibilities :

• Processing all incoming invoices for accuracy, PM approval and entry
• Prepare weekly payables for Project Managers
• Printing monthly reports for billing for PM review
• Processing the monthly invoicing once the PM completes the billing forms
• Preparing and distributing all monthly reports to PM and CFO

Qualifications/ Skills:

• Experience working with a construction or engineering company
• Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred or work experience
• Detailed knowledge of project contracts, invoices, insurance and change order documents
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products with a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technology
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential
• Experience with Sage 300 or Quickbooks needed and AIA documents preferred
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion
