Overview
We are looking for an Enterprise Architecture Lead (SME) to support an Intelligence Community client. This position will be located in the Washington DC area.

Responsibilities
- Work to integrate strategy, business, and technology planning methods with an ability to understand, analyze, justify, and communicate the solution of EA problems to the customer.
- Provide enterprise and solution architecture support to develop and oversee the technical blueprint for the enterprise, assist in the translation of functional capability into the functional and technical architecture for that capability, lead the definition of the EA framework, and provide governance over the implementation and management of that framework.
- Design and evaluate cloud-based IT and analytics architectures based on discussions and research with product owners and users, intuition, and an understanding of the desired outcomes of a requested solution.
- Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, data product engineers, infrastructure engineers, network engineers, security engineers, and software developers to integrate and stand up analytics operating environments.
- Collect requirements, architect cloud solutions and guide cloud applications and cloud migration efforts
- Advisee on the use AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Establish an awareness and understanding of technical constraints, resources, and opportunities, such as cost, speed to market, scalability, security, and operational constraints within the federal government.
- Identify and implement best-practice solutions to client requirements integrate strategy, business, and technology planning methods with an ability to understand, analyze, justify, and communicate the solution of EA problems.
- Provide enterprise, business and solution architecture support to develop and oversee the technical blueprint, assist in the translation of functional capability into the functional and technical architecture for that capability, help lead the definition of the EA framework, and provide governance support over the implementation and management of that framework.
- Work also entails coordination with data and engineer contractor and government leaders to design, implement and utilize architecture products within the organization.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the planning, design, development and implementation of enterprise system, including enterprise logistics systems
- Experience providing enterprise-level IT and technology architecture support in a DOD environment across a complex IT architectural portfolio
- Senior level EA certification (e.g., Enterprise Architecture Certification (CEA), Certified Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) architect, Certified IT Architect (CITA), Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence (EACOE), Open Certified Architect CA, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)).
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience establishing enterprise functional and technical architecture design patterns and technical reference architecture and providing subject matter expertise to implement governance of that framework in the federal space.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose, write and edit a variety of general business correspondence, management reports, technical presentations, training material, proposals and position papers.
- Must be comfortable interacting with key leadership, be articulate, and be proactive.
- Must be able to work in a highly charged and fast-paced environment to prioritize and complete assigned tasks based on guidance from senior leadership. Interacts with staff at all levels and across organizational teams.
- One or more Cloud certifications such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer One cloud security (e.g., CompTIA, Cloud Security Alliance, etc.) or cloud-related technology certification (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, IBM, Oracle, AWS, etc.).
- Experience establishing enterprise functional and technical architecture design patterns and technical reference architecture and providing subject matter expertise to implement governance of that framework in the DoD.
- Experience analyzing or developing SCOR-based business architecture models.
