PAY RANGE: $100,000- $170,000

General Responsibilities: Heavy Civil contractor seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structures Estimator with a specialization in Heavy Highway and Treatment Plant construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bid proposals, and ensuring the competitiveness and profitability of our construction projects. The role demands a deep understanding of heavy highway and treatment plant construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

Significant Duties:

• Estimation and Cost Analysis:

• Conduct detailed cost analysis for heavy highway and treatment plant construction projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to identify project requirements and potential cost implications.
• Collaborate with project teams and engineers to understand design intent and project scope.

• Bid Preparation:

• Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for heavy highway and treatment plant construction projects.
• Develop accurate quantity take-offs and pricing based on labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotes and ensure bid completeness.

• Risk Assessment:

• Identify and assess potential risks associated with heavy highway and treatment plant projects.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure accurate representation in cost estimates.

• Market Research:

• Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market conditions related to heavy highway and treatment plant construction.
• Analyze competitor bids and market dynamics to maintain competitiveness.

• Collaboration:

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and discussions to gather relevant information.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on heavy highway and treatment plant construction projects.
• Proven track record of successfully bidding and winning projects in the specified field.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HCSS HeavyBid, and P6 a plus.

• Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
