General Responsibility:
A Mechanical Project Manager oversees and manages mechanical construction projects in industrial settings. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders.
Significant Duties:
Project Management:
Plan, execute, and close mechanical construction projects in industrial settings.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Technical Expertise:
Have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and industrial processes.
Coordinate with engineers and technicians to ensure that all mechanical work is performed to industry standards and client specifications.
Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal team members.
Communicate project status, changes, and issues to stakeholders.
Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by addressing concerns and delivering on project goals.
Resource Management:
Manage and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
Procure necessary materials and equipment within budget constraints.
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all work is performed safely, in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site.
Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns.
Quality Control:
Oversee quality control processes to ensure that work is completed to the required standards.
Conduct inspections and tests as necessary to verify quality.
Financial Management:
Manage project budgets and track expenditures.
Prepare financial reports and forecasts for upper management and clients.
