    POSITION TITLE: Marine Construction Superintendent

    PAY STATUS: Non-exempt

    PAY RANGE: $100,000- $150,000

    General Responsibilities:

    Marine Contractor is currently in search of a Construction Superintendent to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overseeing marine construction projects, with specific expertise in concrete structures, dredging, pile driving, piers, wharfs, barge handling, and bulkhead repair and construction. The candidate should demonstrate leadership capabilities, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record of successfully completing marine construction projects.

    Significant Duties:

    • Project Oversight: Supervise and manage marine construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and timeline standards.
    • Concrete Structures: Oversee the construction and maintenance of concrete structures in marine environments, ensuring structural integrity and durability.
    • Dredging and Pile Driving: Manage dredging and pile driving operations, coordinating with project teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Piers and Wharfs: Lead the construction and repair of piers and wharfs, ensuring that projects meet specifications and are completed within budget and timeframe.
    • Barge Handling: Demonstrate expertise in the safe and efficient handling of barges during construction activities, coordinating logistics and transport as needed.
    • Bulkhead Repair and Construction: Direct bulkhead repair and construction projects, ensuring the stability and functionality of marine structures.
    • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to construction teams, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
    • Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
    • Budget Management: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of experience.
    • Experience: Ideal candidate experience as a Marine Construction Superintendent is 10+ years. Open to review candidates with less years of experience as well.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of construction management software, familiarity with industry-specific tools and equipment.
    • Certifications: Relevant certifications in marine construction and project management are a plus.
    • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and clients.
