    In this opportunity you will be a generalist reporting to the Senior Human Resources Manager, who reports to the Executive Leadership. You will have many opportunities to learn and develop your talent. You will own and partner with various areas of HR and the business. These include payroll, compliance, and benefits; as a generalist, you will also be involved primarily with workers comp claims and leave of absences.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:*

    • Carry primary responsibility for HRIS data, ADP specifically, including trouble shooting, modifying, auditing for accuracy and compliance; ACA, 401K, Workers Comp, Unemployment, etc.
    • Provide dedicated and effective support to employees as an HR business partner to employees covering leave of absences, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, benefit and pay questions, and supporting employee-relations matters.
    • Carry primary responsibility for payroll processing, including semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, and PTO.
    • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
    • Initiate and support workers compensation, safety programs, policies and communications including safety meetings, training, and return to work management.
    • Partner with the Senior Human Resources Director with all benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision, disability, and retirement programs & benefit programs.
    • Process tuition reimbursements, I-9/E-Verify, retirement notifications, worker's compensation, and life insurance claims, plus FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absence/disabilities as needed.
    • Properly record, track, and administer the steps needed to comply with COBRA law and appropriately deliver continuation of employee benefits.
    • Assist team members regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.

    *EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE*

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Communication, Human Resources, or related field.
    • 3-6 years of working experience in Human Resources.
    • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations for U.S. employment state and federal laws.
    • Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
    • Experience with different areas of benefits, and the ability to own the HR systems; ADP Workforce Now.
    • Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
