Summary
In an outpatient physical therapy clinic, an Exercise Physiologist (EP) bridges the gap between acute rehabilitation and long-term functional wellness. They collaborate with Physical Therapists (PTs) to transition patients from injury recovery to advanced strength, conditioning, and chronic disease management. Additionally, they help assist their department in clerical and administrative tasks to ensure the department runs smoothly.

As patients arrive for their appointment, it is your responsibility to communicate with therapists that their patient is here & get the patient started on a warmup directed by the treating therapist.
Responsible for cleaning rooms, tables, and equipment in between patients. It is extremely important that every piece of equipment a patient touches is properly disinfected before another patient uses the same piece of equipment.
Responsible for always maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct that best represent the company.
Staying present on the floor to:
o Relieve patients from heat or ice when timers alarms
o Grabbing heat or ice for therapists when needed
o Assisting patients in exercises conducted by treating therapists
o Assisting therapists with any task they may need to stay on schedule
Checking off the clinics daily cleaning duties
Assisting at front desk as needed, but tech duties listed above are top priority.
