    Pushing Boundaries provides intensive exercise therapy that strengthens and supports people living with paralysis, and their families, to maximize health and improve quality of life. As an Exercise Therapist you will be working with clients that have a wide array of neurological movement disorders, including spinal cord injuries, strokes, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, Parkinsons and more, to help them increase their strength, function and overall health while achieving goals that are meaningful to them.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Follow Pushing Boundaries (PB) protocols, transfer techniques, the set-up, management, and use of different exercise therapy equipment, including robotic and e-stim machines. Perform rigorous, and sometimes complex, hands-on exercise with clients with limited or impaired mobility in a variety of positions, including floor work.

    Maintain a positive working relationship with other therapists and coworkers and assist them with their clients when necessary. Read, interpret, create and execute appropriate exercise programs for clients

    Document therapy sessions for clients in a timely manner using SOAP notes

    Perform quarterly re-assessments to document client progress towards goals Assist with answering phone calls and emails Navigate scheduling software, outlook email and calendars, internal databases, timesheets, and any other necessary computer competencies. Attend company sponsored events and participate in fundraising endeavors. Other duties as assigned.

    AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    Protect clients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocol. Protect clients and employees by adhering to safety protocol and procedures, including but not limited to proper use of equipment.

    Protect client privacy in all communications with staff and other clients

    Maintain and expand knowledge base regarding specific client populations and diagnoses seen to ensure safe and appropriate exercise techniques and applications are used Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management of needed actions. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other team members. Execute program designs for each client on roster as guided by Lead Exercise Therapist(s). Participate in team meetings as required. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Maintain a positive attitude while working with clients to help them meet their goals.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum of a two-year degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or related field, 4 year degree preferred Nationally recognized personal training certification required (i.e. ACE, NASM, NSCA, or ACSM) ATA Adaptive and Inclusive Fitness Certification (required within 60 days of hire) Strong interpersonal skills Experience with Microsoft Office Software Strong writing skills and comfort around social media a plus Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, simple IRA, flexible spending account, and paid time off
