  • Responsibilities

    Systems Administrator I (Sys Admin I) is a key member of the Information Systems (IT) team. The Sys Admin I is responsible for providing exceptional support to the Bank’s Server Team. Assists with planning, organizing, designing, and managing applicable server-based systems within the Bank’s computing environment in accordance with documented and communicated security standards. Performs troubleshooting of issues within the server-based environment through to resolution. Participates in identification and research of opportunities to further utilize/leverage existing and new technologies to best support the Bank’s business objectives and long term strategic goals.

    Primary duties include:

    • Assists with designing, configuring, and maintaining security features for the server environment.
    • Helps with configuring, monitoring, and maintaining end-point protection systems as assigned to ensure systems and data integrity.
    • Supports provision of user accounts and permission changes within the server-based environment in accordance with Bank policies and procedures.
    • Assists with implementation and maintenance of domain servers, enterprise applications, databases, internal web servers, and the Bank’s e-mail system.
    • Monitors the server-based environment for performance and security-related issues.
    • Assists with designing, configuring, monitoring, and optimizing the server-based environment for best performance, maximum availability, minimal maintenance, and reasonable costs.
    • Helps ensure timely acquisition, testing, and deployment of systems and security patches.
    • Assists with administration of the Bank’s virtualization environment and provision of resources and systems and ensure appropriate load balancing across devices to optimize performance.
    • Tracks hardware, software, and licensing inventories within the server-based environment. Who are we looking for?

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred.
    • 1 – 2 years’ work experience administering and supporting a Microsoft Windows domain within a VMware environment preferred.
    • Familiarity with systems administration automation tools and methods preferred.

    Employment Status: Full Time (40) Hours, Non-Exempt - Benefited

    Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications (Range: $37.38/hour - $46.73/hour)

    Work Schedule: M – F (8:00am to 5:00pm daily)
