    Job Description

    Established transportation and logistics company seeking qualified candidates for all shifts to provide shipment tracking and issues support to our dispatch teams. The ideal candidate should possess an above average attention to detail, able to multi-task and prioritize issues in a fast-paced environment.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIBLITES:

    • Assisting company and contracted operators with shipment questions, issues, providing updated information and or directions
    • Communicating all open issues and items requiring follow through to the next shift
    • Entering detailed shipment notes for all customer inquiries, operator communications, and activity on all active or planned shipments
    • Identify possible shipment service failures prior to occurrence and escalating to the appropriate team member or Manager
    • Monitor and tracking of all active or planned shipments ensuring all customer requirements are met
    • Responding to customer shipment inquiries or updating the customer by phone, email, or web at the requisite times
    • Other duties and projects as assigned by management

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to multi-task and problem solve with attention to detail
    • Ability to work within a team setting
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Exemplary customer service skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems
    • Punctuality and dependability
    • Superior follow-up and follow through abilities
    • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
    • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

    • 2+ year of expedite dispatch experience but willing to train the right candidate

    REQUIRED HOURS:

    Work hours and schedule will vary depending upon assigned shift

    Overtime and holidays may be required based upon the needs of the Company

    SALARY:

    Pay commensurate with experience
