    Summary/Objective
    Under direct supervision, the Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial accounting/operations and policies and procedures of the organization. Additionally, the Staff Accountant is responsible for accounts receivable.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    · Support month-end closings

    · Maintain the integrity of the general ledger

    · Review general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries

    · Reconcile bank accounts

    · Perform account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts including but not limited to subsidiary ledgers, prepaid expenses and debt.

    · Prepare accruals

    · Prepare monthly balance sheet and P&L

    · Perform account and variance analysis, such as budget/forecast vs actual, year over year

    · Maintenance of master file data including but not limited to chart of accounts and vendor, customer, and item master

    · Assist with the preparation of other financial reports as needed

    · Assist with the preparation of tax exempt documents for vendors

    · Back-up for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

    · Support annual audit and tax activities

    · Support budgeting and forecasting activities

    ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    • Carries out duties in compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines.
    • Complies with all company and site policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
    • Remains current in profession and industry trends.

    · learning new skills, procedures and processes.

    • Is available for other duties as required – Provide ongoing support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
    • Is available for overtime as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of 3 years of general accounting experience required. Experience in contract manufacturing, pharmaceutical or medical device preferred.

    Accounts receivable & Accounts Payable experience preferred.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    • Read and interpret documents such as invoices, tax documents, service agreements, contracts, shipping receipts, and standard operating procedures.
    • Legible Handwriting.
    • Communicate clearly in writing and orally.

    OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES OR QUALIFICATIONS

    • Intermediated to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, pivot tables a must
    • Solid working knowledge of QuickBooks
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word
    • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and understanding of internal controls
    • Preferred experience using an ERP or Cloud Based business platform that interacts with financial software packages.

    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail without loss of production
    • Must have a solid understanding of the procure to pay and order to cash cycles and the relationship to the general ledger
