    Position Summary: (Compensation $30,000 - $35,000)

    Typical duties of a staff accountant to include reconcilatons, accounts payable and accounts receivables. Experienced in general accounting functions including cost analysis, invoicing, revenue analysis, budget vs. cost analysis, data entry, implementation and general ledger functions. Provides financial, administrative and clerical support. Assists in ensuring internal controls are met. Performs other accounting duties while assisting the Finance Department in other areas as required. May at times be required to interface with operational managers and occasionally with the Executive Board.

    Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

    Assists in monitoring and troubleshooting multiple ERP systems systems and modules.

    Preparing requests to funding entities.

    File & organize documents required.

    Maintain credit card reconciliation software module.

    Reconcile benefit invoices.

    Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

    Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.

    Record manual and system generated accounts receivable invoices to accounting software.

    Enter/Post Cash Receipts.

    Enter & Post Cash Receipts adjustments.

    Maintains fixed asset module & inventory.

    Review Financials to ensure posted transactions are in line with budget and provide documentation needed for journal entries.

    Contacts vendors and clients to ensure timely collection of revenues and payment of invoices.

    Maintain purchase order records.

    Collects the mail and copies any necessary documents that need verification.

    Provides accounting assistance to project managers and staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.

    Generate ad hoc reports for upper management and prepare monthly variance analysis reports as needed (drillpoint).

    Assists in the audit process.

    Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

    Acts as back-up support to both Staff Accountant II and Senior Finance & Accounting Manager.

    Additional duties as needed, required or assigned.

    Education/Qualifications Required:

    Bachelors preferred

    3-5 years equivalent work experience in General Accounting

    Must have ERP system experience.

    Intermediate to advance skill level in Excel and related Microsoft Office Software
