    Title:               Marketing Assistant

    FLSA:                Non-Exempt

    Reports To:       Vice President, Marketing

    Status:              Full Time (40+ hours)

    Location:           Arena District office, Columbus

    WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

    Reporting directly to the VP, Marketing, this position provides administrative marketing support and project coordination support for the marketing department of Experience Columbus. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Provide support to the VP, Marketing
      • Coordinate meetings with community members by collecting availability, confirming location, and issuing invitation; assemble meeting packets, set up room, and record minutes if necessary; validate parking; reset room post-meeting
      • Collect, compile, and generate monthly marketing board report
      • Proof and edit materials as requested
      • Make travel arrangements and prepare expense reports
    • Responsible for database entry for marketing
      • Log, import and approve community events; import events for Experience Columbus and the Greater Columbus Sports Commission from Ohio Event Finder and enter manually or import events from various other databases
        • Maintain project management software system, data entry tasks, update,  provide training to others and troubleshoot issues
        • Assist with digital asset manager platform: photo and video requests, maintaining files and publishing links
    • Provide marketing general assistance
      • Responsible for ordering business cards
      • Cordinate and schedule professional head shot photos
      • Assist as needed with preparation of presentations, marketing materials and proofreading
      • Assist with digital asset manager platform: photo and video requests, maintaining files and publishing links
      • Check and update contacts in crisis communications center on a quarterly basis

    ABOUT YOU

    • Experienced in the following areas below (either through education, work experience or a combination of both) typically 1- 2+ or more years.

      • Marketing team  project support
      • Working in a system for data management
    • Highly organized and can handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation

    • Naturally collaborative with superior written and verbal skills.

    • Roll-up-the sleeves work ethic and “do-what-it takes” mindset to execute against the strategy

    • High attention to detail

    • Proficient using Microsoft Office products and the Internet

    • Comfortable independently multi-tasking and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced work environment is essential

    • Passionate about the product (Columbus) and motivated to exceed expectations
