At least 6 years of hands-on experience as a European automotive technician is required to be considered for this position. We are searching for an analytically minded auto mechanic to help our repair shop’s customers resolve issues with their vehicles’ performance, structure, appearance, and functionality. Our ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with customers about their vehicles’ performance and maintenance history. You’ll be tasked with inspecting automobiles’ mechanical components, systems, and parts to determine their necessary fixes. You’ll also maintain repair shop equipment and prepare cost estimates. Responsibilities: • Provide preventive maintenance work like replacing brake pads, adjusting fluids, rotating tires, completing oil changes, and servicing the air conditioning • Conduct test drives, inspections, and diagnostic tests to determine automotive malfunctions • Engaging in learning opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills • Preparing estimates, timelines, and other necessary documents for auto repairs • Collaborate with supervisors and fellow auto mechanics to diagnose and repair vehicles’ mechanical issues Qualifications: • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are necessary • Experience and manual dexterity using hand tools and other equipment is needed • An associate's degree from a vocational or technical school and/or ASE certification are a plus • High school diploma or GED equivalent required • A valid driver’s license is necessary • At least 6 years of hands-on experience as a European automotive technician is required to be considered for this position. • ASE certification or prior experience working in a dealership setting is required.
