No Place Like Home Senior Services (NPLH) is seeking a compassionate, experienced caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a gentleman living with advanced-stage dementia in his home.

This role is ideal for someone who understands higher-acuity dementia care and can provide consistent, calm, and patient support while maintaining dignity and quality of life.

💙 ABOUT THE CLIENT

Lives at home with his wife and their senior dog

Must be comfortable working in a home with a dog 🐾

Diagnosed with advanced-stage dementia, requiring hands-on care, redirection, and supervision

Benefits from routine, reassurance, and a calm, structured environment

👉 The goal of this role is to provide safety, comfort, and quality of life through consistency and connection

🛠️ RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide continuous supervision, companionship, and redirection

Assist with all ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals)

Manage advanced dementia behaviors with patience and skill

Maintain a calm, structured daily routine

Support mobility and ensure safety at all times

Light housekeeping and household support

Communicate updates to family and agency staff

🕒 SCHEDULE

Part-Time or Full-Time available

Opportunity for additional hours with other clients

✅ QUALIFICATIONS

Required: Experience with advanced dementia or Alzheimer’s care

Patient, calm, and dependable

Strong communication and observation skills

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Must be comfortable with dogs (required)

Must pass background check and references
