Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Experienced Catering Prep-Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Prep-Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes for both formal and informal catering events, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our clients and their guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and assembly of ingredients for a diverse range of catering menus, encompassing both formal and informal events.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchen area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Follow established recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in all dish preparations.
- Support the head chef and collaborate with other kitchen personnel to achieve timely execution of catering services.
- Conduct thorough quality checks of ingredients to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Adapt to changing client needs and adjust preparations accordingly to meet specific event requirements.
- Participate in the setup, breakdown, and transportation of catering equipment and supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a prep-cook, preferably in a catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and team members.
- Availability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.

- Must possess a current Texas food Handler's Certification or Food Manager's Certification.
