    Position Summary:

    Belmont Savings Bank (BSB), a trusted community bank committed to exceptional service and strong client relationships, is seeking an Experienced Credit Analyst to join our team. This role plays a vital part in evaluating credit risk and supporting the bank’s commercial and consumer lending efforts. The successful candidate will bring a strong analytical background and a solid understanding of financial statements, lending principles, and regulatory compliance.     Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports for new and existing commercial and consumer loans.
    • Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments with recommendations for loan approvals, renewals, or modifications.
    • Assess borrower creditworthiness, repayment capacity, collateral value, and overall risk.
    • Work closely with loan officers and relationship managers to support loan origination and portfolio monitoring.
    • Maintain and update financial spreads, loan covenants, and credit files in accordance with bank policy and regulatory guidelines.
    • Monitor borrower performance and identify deteriorating credit conditions or covenant violations.
    • Participate in loan committee meetings and present credit analysis findings.
    • Support regulatory reporting and respond to internal/external audits as needed.
    • Assist in the development and refinement of credit policies and procedures.

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a credit analyst in a banking or financial institution, preferably in a community banking environment.
    • Strong knowledge of credit principles, loan underwriting, and regulatory requirements.
    • Proficiency in analyzing complex financial statements and cash flow analysis.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with loan origination and credit analysis software is preferred.
