    Job Summary

    The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, assembling, and supporting residential electrical systems within modular home units during the manufacturing process. This role works in a warehouse/plant environment and follows standardized production methods to ensure electrical systems are installed safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and quality standards.

    This position focuses on new construction electrical installation rather than field service or troubleshooting in occupied homes.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Install electrical wiring, devices, panels, and components in modular home units according to production plans and work instructions
    • Pull, route, and secure electrical wiring through framed walls, floors, and ceilings
    • Install outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, junction boxes, and breakers
    • Assist with panel assembly, labeling, and circuit layout
    • Read and follow basic electrical diagrams, blueprints, and layout markings
    • Perform visual inspections and basic testing to verify proper installation
    • Identify and report defects or quality concerns to supervisors
    • Coordinate work with framing, plumbing, HVAC, and insulation teams
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
    • Follow OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies
    • Meet production timelines while maintaining safety and quality expectations
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
    • Electrical experience of a minimum of 1 year of work experience are required.
    • On-the-job training will be provided based on demonstrated ability and performance
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    • Basic math skills and ability to measure accurately
    • Willingness to learn residential electrical installation practices
    • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or construction environment
    • Qualified applicants will be considered for employment regardless of criminal history, consistent with Kansas law and business necessity

    Preferred

    • Exposure to hand and power tools
    • Interest in electrical, construction, or manufacturing trades

    Physical & Environmental Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Ability to work indoors in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures

    Work Schedule & Benefits

    • Full-time schedule, typically Monday–Friday, 7:00am03:30pm
    • Overtime may be required based on production needs.
    • Training schedule may require training in Oklahoma for up to 2 weeks and local training twice a week until 6:30pm.
