Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Sampling Technician to support field oversight activities on the soil remediation project in Commerce, Los Angeles. This role involves on-site environmental monitoring and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

CDPH Lead Sampling Technician certification (optional)

OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (current or with up-to-date 8-hour refresher)

Prior experience in environmental, remediation, or construction fieldwork

Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record

Strong attention to detail and professional field presence

Responsibilities:

Measure and document Potentially Disturbed Units (PDUs) such as tree canopies, utility boxes, and utility lines

Photograph PDUs before, during, and after excavation

Collect soil samples post-excavation and backfilling per CDPH protocols

Ensure excavation crews are adhering to the site’s Operations Plan and Health & Safety Plan (HASP)

Conduct basic visual assessments and assist in environmental compliance reporting

Location: Commerce, CA Schedule: Full-time during active site operations; includes a 1-day training session prior to field deployment

Compensation: $25–$30/hour, depending on experience and certifications
