    Our law firm has a full-time associate attorney position available now, and we’re looking for the right professional to join our team. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior associates and litigation associates on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. You’ll also be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, and keeping client files up to date. Responsibilities: • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings Case Strategy & Client Representation Conduct thorough client needs assessments to understand goals, priorities, and concernsDevelop and implement strategic case plans aligned with client objectives and budgetsRepresent clients in court hearings, conferences, and trialsAdvocate for client interests through effective negotiation and litigation strategyLegal Research & Drafting Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and legal correspondenceConduct legal research to support litigation strategy and case developmentPrepare persuasive filings that strengthen the client’s legal positionClient Communication Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding case status and expectationsProvide clear legal guidance and strategic recommendationsManage sensitive family law matters with professionalism and empathyCase Management & Collaboration Maintain organized and accurate case filesEnsure matters progress efficiently and deadlines are metWork collaboratively with attorneys, legal staff, and court personnelMentor and support junior staff where appropriatePerformance & Accountability Meet and exceed firm billable hour expectationsContribute to a culture of accountability, professionalism, and client serviceSupport the firm’s mission and operational goals Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Successful completion of the bar exam • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients Minimum 3–5 years of Family Law experience (required) Trial and litigation experience strongly preferred Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania Strong understanding of family law procedures and litigation strategy Ability to manage billable hours effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Attributes Familiarity with ALL Counties, but specifically Allegheny and Cambria County courts and procedures Resides in or is willing to commute to Sewickley, PA Strong courtroom confidence and litigation mindset Empathetic approach when working with clients in emotionally complex situations Ability to balance fairness and strong client advocacy Interest in long-term growth and leadership within the firm Compensation: $85,000 - $150,000 yearly
