Responsibilities: • Analyze legal situations to effectively solve clients' problems, understanding their needs, and devising strategic action plans. • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and separation agreements for a large number of cases. • Represent clients in court proceedings as necessary to ensure their interests are protected. • Work closely with the Managing Attorney to efficiently progress cases through the litigation process. • Consult with potential clients to assess their requirements and determine appropriate steps to take. • Manage cases diligently to ensure timely advancement in all legal matters. • Ensure all work undergoes consistent quality reviews for adherence to case law and clarity of content. • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when required. • Advocate on behalf of clients by developing strategies based on a thorough analysis of their needs and situation. • Maintain well-organized and updated client files. • Attend court hearings to ensure clients receive effective representation when needed. Qualifications: • At least 6 years of family law experience, and an NC Law License • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • 4-year degree with a legal background and a J.D. degree are necessary for this position • Experience with billing and keeping track of billable time on cases • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Team-oriented, flexible, organized, and willing to work across office locations when needed is a plus • Self-starter who will take the proactive initiative to complete priorities on a daily basis • Ability to creatively problem-solve and come up with workable solutions, figure things out on your own • Must be willing to travel locally around Charlotte for mediations, depositions, and court. Compensation: $110,000+ yearly DOE
