We are looking for a motivated, experienced garage door service installer/service technician to join our growing staff. As a technician, your main duties will be installing and servicing sectional and rolling garage doors in residences and commercial buildings. Since our business specializes in remodels, new installations, and repairs, technicians will visit various project sites, and no two days will be the same. You'll be interacting with customers on a daily basis across all of our service areas, so you must possess excellent customer service skills. A person who has several years of experience working with multiple door manufacturers, as well as knowledge of the Florida Building Code and specifically the wind code for garage doors, would be an ideal candidate for this position. Responsibilities: • Accurately measure openings for installation and site checks for bigger jobs • Participate in company meetings and adhere to company procedures • Complete a thorough inspection, make a precise diagnosis of any problems with the present system, and give the customer their options • Install and perform maintenance on garage doors and operators following all manufacturer specifications • Utilize software to take notes, make quotes, and create invoices for customers • Be on time for all appointments, and put forth your best effort to satisfy customers Qualifications: • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on residential garage doors and openers • Preferred minimum of 5 years of experience working on commercial garage doors and openers • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate • Must possess a valid US Driver's License • Skills in math and the ability to solve problems critically and efficiently, sometimes without supervision • Must have great communication, listening, and teamwork skills • Good understanding of the wiring and connections used in electrical systems Compensation: $24 - $30 Hourly
