You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents and handle all office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. Responsibilities: • Take care of administrative tasks and office correspondence by answering phone calls and emails, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and informing the team of upcoming deadlines • Use daily time records to properly process client billing with support from the accounting department • Conduct legal research, when necessary, with guidance from attorneys and paralegals You Must Already Know How To: • Draft, edit, and file legal documents in business, real estate, and estate planning contexts; • Handle client communication with care, clarity, and professionalism; • Track deadlines, manage checklists, and maintain control over your calendar; • Organize physical and digital files; • Handle confidential client matters with maturity and discretion; • Work independently with minimal oversight; Qualifications: • Candidates must have worked with legal software, case management, and docketing programs • Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment You Are: • Experienced – minimum 3 years in a law firm, ideally in business law or estate planning; • Organized and efficient – you can prioritize in a fast-paced office; • Professional and personable – clients trust you, and so will we; • Growth-minded – you want your work to mean something, not just fill hours; • Committed to excellence – you take pride in getting it right the first time.
