Line Cook (Experienced)

One Door North | North Park, San Diego

One Door North is hiring an experienced line cook (3+ years) to join our established kitchen team. This position is for a cook who wants to work, executes consistently, and takes pride in doing things the right way every time.

We’re looking for a professional line cook who understands systems, moves with urgency, and executes at a high level during service.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

You can cook fast without cutting corners

You follow recipes, specs, and plating standards exactly

You understand proper prep techniques and why they matter

You know when something is off (broken sauce, over-reduced, poor texture) and fix it

You show up on time, ready to work, and support the team

What We’re Looking For

Proven line cook experience in a high-volume or chef-driven kitchen

Strong fundamentals (sauces, proteins, prep, timing, temperature control)

Ability to execute consistently under pressure

Clean, organized station habits

Strong communication and teamwork

Coachable, accountable, and respectful

Responsibilities

Execute menu items to spec with accuracy and consistency

Prep correctly and efficiently according to standards

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety

Communicate clearly with BOH and FOH

Support service flow, prep, and closing responsibilities

Uphold quality and speed during high-volume service

Pay & Advancement

$23/hour starting
