    Role Overview

    Intramotev is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join the engineering team supporting the development of self-propelled rail vehicles. This role will focus on defining, optimizing, and overseeing manufacturing processes for our cutting-edge battery-electric rail vehicles. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient production, assembly, and quality control throughout the product lifecycle. This position will be based out of St. Louis, MO.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows for production efficiency and quality
    • Design and implement manufacturing fixtures, tools, and equipment
    • Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
    • Manage and maintain production documentation, including process instructions and quality control plans
    • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to maintain production targets and quality standards
    • Support supplier relationships and evaluate supplier capabilities for manufacturing components
    • Research and recommend new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions
    • Participate in design reviews and provide manufacturing insights

    About You

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

    • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing setting
    • U.S. Person (immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided).
    • Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your area of expertise; ability to develop innovative and novel approaches.
    • Open-minded and comfortable working in a teaming environment or as an individual contributor.
    • Fluent in both written and verbal English.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

    Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below:

    • Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as Odoo.
    • Experience in directly applicable industry or projects, such as Rail Vehicles, Electric Vehicles, or Unmanned Systems.
    • Understanding of design for high-volume manufacturing processes.
    • Experience with 3D modeling software and GD&T.
    • Demonstrated experience working on project teams and collaborating with other engineering disciplines.

    Typical Education and Experience

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience , or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
