This is a full-time position where you are expected to manage a caseload, so you absolutely must be able to work "in the office" for 40 hours per week. Initial employment compensation will be based on your experience, with opportunities for increases after that. Key Responsibilities include: • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence • Manage and organize case files from intake to resolution • Maintain attorney calendars and track case deadlines • File legal documents with courts (electronically and in-person as required) • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review • Assist the attorney in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials • Coordinate service of process, subpoenas, and other legal notices • Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather necessary documentation • Prepare settlement packages and coordinate with insurance carriers or opposing counsel • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all client interactions Qualifications: • Possesses outstanding communication skills and sense of empathy • Background in the legal industry preferred • Familiarity with case management and CRM systems a bonus • Skilled with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel • Strong computer and data entry skills • High school diploma or equivalent needed, while a Bachelor’s degree is desired • 3+ years of experience in a law office or legal setting, with a solid understanding of legal procedures, client intake, and case file management • Exceptional communication and client service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and third parties • Highly organized and detail-driven, capable of managing deadlines, preparing legal documents, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date case records • Proactive, resourceful, and able to manage up, with strong judgment and the initiative to anticipate attorney needs and independently handle routine tasks • Tech-savvy and efficient, with proficiency in legal practice software (e.g., PracticePanther, Clio) and standard office tools like email, Excel, and document editing Compensation: $23 - $28 hourly
