Responsibilities: • Act as lead counsel in probate matters, which will include contested matters, although the firm's goal is to shift toward a focus on non-contested matters (typical case load could be 50-100 cases, primarily non-contested). • Conduct legal research and analysis related to probate cases. • Prepare and draft legal documents, including but not limited to wills, petitions, and probate pleadings. • Collaborate with the owner/managing attorney to develop case strategies. • Mentor and quality‑check the work of associate attorneys and paralegals; contribute to process improvements in how we manage probate matters. • Conduct consultations, as needed. • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in cases. Qualifications: • Must: At least 3 years’ Arizona probate experience; 5+ preferred, including managing your own files with minimal supervision. • Plus: Arizona‑based and able to appear in the office as needed; preference for candidates within 30 miles of the office. • Must: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Arizona. • Plus: Experience in contested probate matters. • Must: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Must: Ability to work efficiently in a hybrid/remote environment. • Must: Ability to work with online legal research tools and case management software (Clio or similar software). Compensation: $138,000
