The Senior Virtualization & Storage Engineer provides senior level support and leadership for all of the VMWare and Windows systems in the corporate environment. This person will help to set the direction for all VMWare, and Windows systems while also providing support for the systems.

Responsibilities:

• Support the installation, optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of VMware and Windows systems and components
• Assist with planning, execution, and control of project-relate tasks and activities.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and complex problem resolution on issues related to environment performance and stability.
• Responsible for server hardware configuration, installation and modification experience required.
• Responsible for backups and restorations of systems or files.
• Responsible for document software and system configuration
• Participate and assist with 24x7 support of the environment
• Address and close technical issues reported in the team’s service desk ticket queue

Requirements:

• College degree in Computer Science and 5+ years experience in managing a technology service center; OR 10+ years equivalent education and experience.
• 4+ years of VMware experience, specifically VMWare vSphere
• Windows server experience (2003-2019)
• Systems maintenance skills
• Performance monitoring

• Scripting and Automation tools
• Horizon
• Experience with ESXI Hosts (7.0)
• Storage / LUN allocation
• SRM or Zerto experience
