    The Manager, Systems Engineering is responsible for the administration and operation of the Domain and Messaging Services.

    • Member of the Cloud and Computer Engineering group,
    • They will oversee and lead a team of approximately 4-5 senior engineers and identify the overall goals and objectives of the business, determine the functionality required to meet those needs, and manage resources accordingly.
    • This role requires an in depth knowledge of Active Directory, Federation, Microsoft Exchange, MFA, Windows security, and related technologies. The Manager, Systems Engineering reports to the VP, Infrastructure Engineering and works very closely with other Managers and Senior Systems Engineers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop processes and procedures to ensure managed environments maintain the highest levels of availability, security, and quality
    • Manage staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment, selection, training, development, performance management and recognition
    • Act as a technical subject matter expert or lead where required, using a combination of insights into technology and ongoing business needs to make impactful system architecture and design decisions
    • Lead the security work stream of Active Directory consolidation program
    • Identify risks and provide guidance regarding remediation of gaps to facilitate delivery of a hardened and sustainable AD environment and deliver scripted solutions to assist with discovery and remediation of ad-hoc security gaps
    • Follow all set procedures and policies pertaining to the Change Management system
    • Develop capacity forecasts for managed environments that are proactive and prevent problems prior to outages
    • Serves as escalation point and provide troubleshooting guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems
    • Assist with the definition and execution on system and software standards to achieve effective and efficient systems management at scale
    • Ensure quality of existing and new system implementations; guide adjustments where necessary to generate high quality product
    • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure desired service levels are maintained or exceeded
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and advances in supported technologies that would add business value and make recommendations to senior management where applicable

    Required Skills:

    • 8 years' related experience including 3 years' of management experience or equivalent combination
    • Broad expertise in Intel hardware, Windows operating systems, network systems, and LAN/WAN environments supported
    • Experience with the implementation of backup/restore and disaster recovery strategies
    • Expert knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, GPO's in a Windows Server 2012 R2 environment
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Non-Windows Server architectures, Virtualization Technologies, and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies
    • Extensive experience supporting various Microsoft back-office applications/services (Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, InfoPath, MSSQL, consolidated print services) with the ability to perform extensive impact analysis and manage changes/configurations accordingly
    • Experience with the following:
      • Agile methodologies
      • Supporting and/or implementing Fax over IP solutions (Rightfax and file transfer solutions)
      • Maintenance and administration of VMware virtualized systems
      • Automating system administration functions with Powershell and/or other scripting
      • Using enterprise monitoring and logging solutions such as Solarwinds and Splunk

    Desired Skills:

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Quest Change Auditor, Dell InTrust, and Dell GPOAdmin, Kerberos, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, ADFS, MFA, DNS, and DHCP
    • Familiarity with security issues surrounding network computing and experience with the implementation of security systems and controls
    • Have a technologist mindset with aptitude to work on complex projects while possessing organization, time management, and multitasking skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with both onshore and offshore teams as well as the ability to communicate technical information to audiences of varying backgrounds
    • Ability to adapt to an extremely dynamic environment comprising of high degree of complexities and priorities
    • Strategic problem solving and decision making skills
