Skilled Labor Tradesman / Restoration Technician
At Paul Davis Restoration, we help people put their homes, businesses, and lives back together after water, fire, mold, storm, and other property damage. Our customers often call us during stressful moments. The way we communicate, perform, and serve matters.
We are looking for a dependable, skilled labor tradesman who takes pride in doing quality work, acts professionally, and wants to keep improving.
This is not an expert-level specialist position. We need someone with solid fundamentals who can take direction, take ownership, and keep work moving. If you need constant supervision, struggle with communication, or cut corners, this will not be the right fit.
What you will do
Drywall repairs, patching, hanging, finishing, and blending
Mudding, sanding, texturing, and surface preparation
Interior painting, touch-up work, and finish preparation
Basic trim carpentry including baseboards, casing, and finish details
General construction and restoration-related labor tasks
Maintain clean, safe, organized job sites
Communicate project status, material needs, issues, and schedule impacts
Interact professionally with customers in homes and businesses
Participate in after-hours emergency and on-call response when needed
What we expect
The right person can take a scope of work, understand what needs to happen, organize their day, and move the project forward without needing someone to hold their hand.
You should be:
Reliable and punctual
Professional in appearance, attitude, and communication
Accountable for your work
Coachable and willing to improve
Able to solve problems in the field
Respectful of customers, teammates, and property
Focused on doing the job correctly, safely, and efficiently
Basic qualifications
Working knowledge of drywall, mudding, painting, trim carpentry, and general construction
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and organizational habits
Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
Ability to lift materials, use tools safely, and perform physical work
Willingness to work occasional evenings, emergency calls, or after-hours assignments
Who succeeds here
People who succeed here want to improve.
They want to become more skilled, more dependable, more professional, and more valuable over time. They live with integrity, discipline, strong morals, and strong work ethic.
At Paul Davis Restoration, we believe in continuous improvement. We want people who want to be better today than they were yesterday.
There is real satisfaction in this work. When a project is complete, the customer is taken care of, and the property is restored, the whole team feels it.
Growth opportunity
For the right person, this position can become much more than a trades role.
Employees who demonstrate ownership, communication, leadership, and consistent execution can grow into increased responsibility, crew leadership, and long-term project management opportunities.
