Part-Time / Project-Based Contractor | Potential for Full-Time
FASTSIGNS of North Orlando is looking for an experienced, dependable sign professional who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and seeing their work come to life throughout the community.
This is an excellent opportunity for an independent installer, experienced production specialist, or skilled tradesperson looking for consistent project-based work with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time position as our workload and relationship grow.
You will help produce, finish, assemble, and install custom signs and graphics for local businesses, schools, organizations, property managers, and commercial clients. Our projects vary from day to day, so we need someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and knows how to get the job done correctly and safely.
What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on your experience and the needs of each project, your work may include:
Installing interior and exterior signs, dimensional lettering, wall graphics, window graphics, banners, panels, and related visual products
Applying vinyl and printed graphics to a variety of substrates
Measuring, cutting, trimming, mounting, laminating, assembling, and finishing sign products
Installing graphics on walls, windows, floors, vehicles, and other surfaces
Using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and mechanical lifts when properly trained or certified
Reviewing work orders, measurements, site conditions, and installation requirements before beginning
Conducting site surveys and identifying potential installation challenges
Loading, transporting, and protecting completed signs and installation materials
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
Taking completion photos and communicating clearly about project status
Representing FASTSIGNS professionally while working at customer locations
You May Be a Great Fit If You
Have professional sign production or installation experience
Have experience in construction, vinyl application, carpentry, fabrication, painting, electrical work, vehicle wraps, or another related skilled trade
Can read measurements accurately and follow detailed work orders
Are comfortable using common hand and power tools
Have strong attention to detail and care about the appearance of the finished product
Can assess a jobsite and solve problems without needing constant supervision
Show up on time, communicate clearly, and follow through on commitments
Work safely and professionally around customers, coworkers, and active jobsites
Are comfortable working indoors and outdoors in Florida conditions
Can safely lift and carry materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
Are comfortable working from ladders or lifts when a project requires it
Preferred Qualifications
Previous sign-shop, wide-format printing, or installation experience
Vinyl application experience
Experience installing dimensional letters, wall graphics, window graphics, post-and-panel signs, or building signage
Experience with vehicle graphics or wraps
OSHA, aerial-lift, electrical, or related safety certifications
Valid driver’s license and a clean, insurable driving record
Reliable transportation
Your own basic installation tools and appropriate business insurance, if working as an independent contractor
Sign-industry experience is strongly preferred, but we are also willing to consider a highly dependable candidate with strong construction, fabrication, carpentry, vinyl, or installation experience.

Schedule and Compensation
This position will begin as part-time, project-based work. Scheduling may vary depending on installation dates, production needs, customer requirements, and project volume. Some early-morning, evening, or weekend work may occasionally be available.
Compensation will be competitive and based on experience, capabilities, tools/equipment provided, and the scope of each project. Rates and expectations will be agreed upon before work begins.
Consistent availability and strong performance may lead to increased assignments and consideration for a future full-time position.
