About Us: Croydon Pet Hospital is a busy and compassionate animal hospital in Glen Burnie, MD, committed to providing high-quality medical care for pets. Our team is dedicated to supporting the bond between pets and their families by delivering exceptional veterinary care. We are currently looking for a Veterinary Assistant with at least one year of experience to join our team and grow with us.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians with medical and surgical procedures, including patient preparation and monitoring

Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations under veterinarian guidance

Perform diagnostic tests, including blood draws, urinalysis, radiographs, and other lab work

Provide compassionate and effective care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering fluids

Communicate with clients regarding patient care, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions

Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments and procedures

Assist in the cleanliness and upkeep of the hospital, including sterilization of instruments and equipment

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant Required

Proficiency in performing basic technical skills (blood draws, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, etc.)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Genuine passion for animal care and client service
