    Job Description

    ** Job duties include, but are not limited to:**

    Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

    Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2+ years of professional veterinary technician experience (preferred)
    • Previous emergency room or urgent care experience (preferred)
    • Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license or equivalent state certification (preferred)
    • Demonstrated expertise in safe animal restraint techniques and low-stress handling methods
    • Proficiency in collecting and analyzing various laboratory samples
    • Experience with radiographic positioning and diagnostic imaging procedures
    • Competency in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring
    • Strong client communication and medical record management skills
    • Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
    • Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards, including bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases
    • Ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
    • Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts
    • Flexibility to work weekday shifts as needed
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians and team members

    Additional Information

    _ Pay Range:_ $18.00 - $23.00/hr based on experience

    _ Weekends:_ (Saturday and Sunday) required
