At The Faith Babirye Veterinary Surgery and Diagnostics Center, we’re proud to serve pets and families who often feel they’ve run out of options. We are a surgery-focused practice offering:

Orthopedic procedures (including TPLO)

Fracture repair

Advanced soft tissue surgery

CT imaging, digital radiography, and C-arm fluoroscopy

Our team works in a calm, supportive, and collaborative environment where every member plays a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care.

About the Position

We are looking for a reliable, self-driven experienced Veterinary Technician who is comfortable working in a surgical setting and can step into a role that requires skill, focus, and accountability.

What You’ll Do

Assist in orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries

Perform surgical prep (IV catheter placement, intubation, clipping, scrubbing)

Maintain sterile technique and support smooth surgical workflow

Monitor anesthesia using multi-parameter equipment

Assist with CT scans, digital radiographs, and fluoroscopy positioning

Provide thorough post-op care and recovery monitoring

Collect and process lab samples

Administer medications and IV fluids

Maintain accurate patient notes and logs

Support inventory and maintain clean, organized surgical spaces

Communicate with clients in a clear, compassionate manner

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a candidate who is:

✅ Experienced — at least 3+ years as a Veterinary Technician, preferably with surgical experience ✅ Dependable — someone who follows through, communicates, and takes initiative ✅ Comfortable with anesthesia monitoring ✅ Professional and team-oriented ✅ Able to lift 50 lbs and stay active throughout the day ✅ Committed — we are looking for long-term team members, not temporary help

We are happy to continue training the right person, but we do need someone with a strong foundation who can step in and contribute.
