    Job Description

    The RPA Business Analyst is responsible for conducting analysis to understand current business processes, analyze those processes and business requirements, determine the potential for an automation and an associated ROI, and craft functional and design specifications for attended and unattended automation projects across lines of business. The RPA Business Analyst is also responsible for building cross-functional relationships and working collaboratively with stakeholders, business partners, and development teams to ensure the final product(s) aligns with both the business vision and the enterprise shared services vision. The role will maintain a strict adherence to departmental standards related to development documentation, artifacts and requirements elicitation and documentation. Ultimately, success comes in the form of greater operational efficiencies, the elimination of unnecessary manual or high-risk work, and increased employee satisfaction from diverse workforce.

    Key Responsibilities: The RPA Analyst works closely with the business staff and technical staff to analyze business problems, define automation solutions, and works with the RPA Developer to clearly document implementation Proactively learns the standards, workflows and technologies to suggest approaches to optimize automation of each possible healthcare, operational or external processes Creates functional specifications documents (TDDs, PDDs, etc.) and other design or architecture artifacts as necessary to ensure a systematic approach to the development of new automation solutions, user guides or policies and procedures Interact with business partner as necessary to identify, interpret and document business processes and requirements in the form of workflows, design documents, and both high-level and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria Based on detail analysis, delivers recommendations for process and system improvements that assist the business in achieving its goals and objectives, leveraging best practices and professional experience Ensures that all items under their responsibility follow the SDLC including all applicable change management processes to validate change requests and ensure quality of deliverables Responsible for identifying and documenting required test data, test cases and test success/failure criteria for supported automations Creates detailed process description and process automation documentation that can be directly used for artifact development Defines and supports automation benefits quantification post RPA deployment in conjunction with business partners, analytics teams and IT reporting teams Supports Technology Infrastructure and Operations team in establishing and maintaining the RPA systems, infrastructure team in setting up the environment(s) Supports the planning of an RPA roadmap in collaboration with product, technology, and business partners considering the enterprise shared services vision, each business units vision, market trends, and corporate goals Supports the creation, management, and prioritization of a backlog of automation projects, including new projects, enhancements to existing projects, defects, non-functional requirements, etc., including providing the decision criteria to create, fix or defer at the release level Communicates project progress and status to leadership and other development team members Must maintain knowledge of current and upcoming RPA technologies keeping an eye on external competitive trends and best practices Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required 2+ years of relevant experience as a BA for RPA initiatives 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst involved with business process improvement initiatives UiPath Certified RPA Associate certification preferred Proven success gaining a deep understanding of stakeholder and user experience to improve stakeholder satisfaction Experience working with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and other process mining tools highly preferred Profound understanding of RPA Deployment Methodology and opportunity identification / process optimization is required. Experience working with Healthcare or Insurance organizations preferred Experience working with software development teams, preferably in an agile environment Experience writing user stories and using product management and development tracking tools (e.g. Jama, DevOps, etc.) Must have background and experience with Business Analysis toolkit including an understanding of systems development lifecycles, architecture and frameworks, problem solving and root cause analysis methods, Use cases, data and process modeling skills and document business process models. Experience participating with multi-disciplinary business and development team(s). Requires effective written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills Experience providing guidance to junior employees or partners not familiar with RPA capabilities and expertise to help them learn Independent thinker with strong organization, prioritization and planning skills Strong analytical skills
