    Engineering Systems Analyst – IT Support

    Location: Maplewood, MN (55144)

    Contract Length: 12 months (with opportunity for extension)

    Pay Rate: $15-$16/hr

     

    Position is a support role requiring more work direction whereby worker follows generally defined procedures. Provide end user support and timely issue resolution for several applications.

    Responsibilities:

    ·       Provide support and daily issue resolution

    ·       Respond to help desk tickets within established service levels

    ·       Work to research and document help desk tickets which become maintenance and enhancement requests

    ·       Provide a timely response to telephone and email requests from users

    ·       Follow up with development group and product manager to identify and resolve problems with the applications

    ·       Maintain and update end-user documentation for the application

    ·       Work with the Technology Training Group as needed to train end-users for offices world wide, including the creation and update of training materials

    ·       Provide timely communication to users and product manager regarding all aspects of the products

    ·       Responsible for setting up and maintaining user permissions

    ·       Prepare monthly reports / indicators regarding user requests and performance statistics

    ·       Responsible for complex and multi-faceted issues within one or more information technology areas.

    ·       Is a subject matter expert to whom leadership reaches out to with regards to his/her specialization within information technology.

    ·       Requires strong analytical skills and significant interpretation of data.

     

    Skills:

    •         Strong written communication skills

    •         Ability to learn new concepts/systems quickly

    •         Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, SAP (optional), PowerBI (optional), JIRA (optional)

    o   Excel PivotTables, Excel Tables, Excel formulas, VBA (optional)

    •         Basic SQL understanding (optional)

     

    Position duties:

    •         Answer usage questions on 3M capital project management software (application support, user instruction, troubleshooting)

    •         Administrate user access/roles in the 3M capital project management software

    •         Run periodic/scheduled reports using Excel, PowerBI, SAP

    •         Assist support team and application developers to determine if feedback is a bug, user mistake, missing feature

    •         Attend daily agile/scrum meetings with Engineering team and IT team

    •         Enter tasks/stories/bugs into JIRA software for application enhancements/bugs

    •         Submit IT tickets for application bugs
