NETWORK ENGINEER

DESCRIPTION/COMMENT:

• Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications.
• Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
• Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Typically reports to a supervisor.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

• Main focus will be on our Air to Ground Communications. Requires supporting site in conjunction with Vendor to resolves - phone line issues, radio failures, new site setups site moves. Training will be provided. In addition, need to work with team on testing and implementing alternate solutions to POTS lines. Project Coordination in assisting with onboarding a vendor to take over support & maintenance of air to ground communications. Includes work with the vendor communication setup, implementation plans and rollout to sites.

EDUCATION:

• A bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area is preferred.
