Job Description

SYSTEMS ENGINEER-SOFTWARE ENGINEER 

12+ month contract position in Lake Forest CA location. Work on integration, testing, troubleshooting and fixing issues in IFE & GCS systems & software. Systems used in avionics. Linux skills and experience is a must for this role.

Providing software solutions to the integration group by deploying software releases across the IFE & GCS platforms. Solutions may include software patches, configuration/content changes, and/or instructions to Integration Test Team. Documenting and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed software components and systems. Validating software changes are correctly implemented into software baselines. Ensuring customer, regulatory, functional and technical specifications and standards are met. Helping solve software/hardware interface problems, defines input/output parameters and ensures integration of the entire system. Identifying and document the root cause of software issues by analyzing logs, reproducing and troubleshooting the issues in the lab environment. Preparing, reviewing, and evaluating interface documentation, specifications, test plans and procedures. Partnering with development and test teams and other product support teams to enhance collaboration and knowledge transfer. Working with the SWE Integration team to manage baseline and customer integration projects. This includes generation of system software builds, software integration and testing & resolving issues. Attending daily standups, status meetings, and technical discussions involving the projects under integration.

BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ENGINEERING. PREFER COMPUTER ENGINEER OR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER. LINUX SKILLS; TESTING SKILLS, EMBEDDED SOFTWARE. C#, C++, PYTHON SKILLS DESIRED.
