Surgical Coordinator/Counselor

Requirements:

• Three (3)+ years of experience providing patents with pre-op counseling; coordinated scheduling, gathers documentation for pre-certification, and provides patient insurance financial responsibility information as it relates to the surgery
• Served as the primary interface for patients as they prepare for surgery
• Travel between satellite locations
• Explains to patients where their surgery will be scheduled
• Calculates insurance estimates for pre-payments, collects and posts all applicable payments including deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance prior to surgery/treatment
• Patient service personality
