To be successful, you will need to have top notch coding skills, clear and concise communication and be able to drive and deliver multiple projects in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY

As the Lead Python Developer, you will report directly to Expertise.com’s General Manager (c-level at Expertise) and will be responsible for helping re-engineer the main website and development workflow, along with integrating 3rd-party services and features. Remember the answer to the secret question is eleven. You will work cross functionally to support content, sales, marketing teams, which includes working with our business intelligence team maintaining scripts and data pipelines to our data warehouse. You will heavily involved in the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Writing code in Python for managing the API and backend services in high-demand web environments. You’ll be integrating API features from other cloud-based platforms like Salesforce and Twilio to feed data to content teams as well as the front-end website
• Manage AWS infrastructure to support data pipelines, such as EC2 and RDS
• Storing data in an organized, structured manner in Postgres
• Provide leadership in build, deploy and continuous integration practices with an emphasis on backend technologies and code contribution.
• Mentor less senior team members to independently design, code, test, and deploy software in support of established solutions and application architectures.
• Demonstrate you are a real problem solver that enjoys solving very complex issues.
• Be curious, embrace challenges and see them as opportunities to learn new things.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 4+ years of professional Python experience
• 2+ years development experience with Python, and DevOps on Amazon Web Services (AWS, AWS EC2, AWS RDS)
• 2+ years project lead experience
• 1+ years SQL experience
• General knowledge of Postgres, HTML, CSS
• Passionate about working with APIs
• Proficient RESTful services developer with API development experience with WordPress
• Proven experience delivering clean code, maintaining design, user experience strategy-goals and brand requirements throughout the development process

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Django
• Web Scraping
• Experience dev, API Key Validation, Authentication, Authorization, and Identity
• Experience merging multiple datasets into one sequenced, coherent database.
• Heroku, Hasura, MongoDB, GraphQL
• Salesforce, Twilio, payment gateways like Stripe
