Job Description
Reporting to the Drilling Services Superintendent, the geological technician will be responsible for helping to manage drill sites and drill sampling for Exploration group needs. You’ll work with the Drilling Contractor and Geology team to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations and support functions are accomplished.
Schedule is 7 shifts on and 7 off 12-hour shifts supporting drilling operations and sampling needs. The principal objective of this role is to ensure all drill sites and drill samples are held to the highest standards, process drill samples in a timely and profession manner, and to operate variety of equipment in accordance with OGC and Government procedures and policies to support the Exploration Group
Hourly wage is based on experience and knowledge of the trade. Increase in compensation is based on self-motivation and performance through yearly evaluations of competencies against set standards and industry standards.
