    Job Brief

    We have an opening for a Forecast and Inventory Planning Specialist who will be responsible for the daily forecasting and inventory planning operations. The ideal candidate will be a great self-learner with excellent forecasting and data analysis skills. The right candidate should be vigilant in documenting SOPs with an eye for improving processes. You should be comfortable with technology and savvy enough to research additional information that is necessary to perform job duties. Strong written and verbal English will be necessary for writing process documents, communicating proposals, and communicating analysis and data validations.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

    • Develop effective forecast models based on category and competitor trends and demand patterns.
    • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
    • Communicate forecast and inventory estimations to Supply Chain Manager.
    • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts.
    • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
    • Create forecast performance tracking for each client catalog.
    • Combine all client forecasted sales and units to develop and maintain an EB forecast outlook including sales and commission.
    • Create and maintain EB forecast performance tracker.
    • Report sales versus forecast misses and solutions for improvement.
    • Research and implement sostocked.com forecasting and inventory planning software.
    • Expand software implementation to more clients after proving processes and tracking.
    • Ongoing use of software and scaling to new clients.
    • Establish initial inventory recommendations for new clients.
    • Provide inventory recommendations for ramp-up / ramp-down plans for seasonal products, Prime day, and other product specific peak seasons.
    • Collaborate with the AMT team to establish inventory strategies for new product launches, product phase-outs, and Rebate Key events.
    • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities such as scenario and tiered options planning.
    • Monitor competition and category pricing by gathering current marketplace information.
    • Analyze and create proposals for price changes as necessary.
    • Provide long term pricing change sales projections for each client.
    • Analyze the weekly Overall Account Summary and record event information to forecast.
    • Be the backup role for FBA Shipment Creation.

     

    Requirements and Experience

    • A minimum of 4 years’ of solid experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
    •  
    • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
    • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
    • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent English fluency in written and verbal communication is required.
    • Must be organized and able to systemize processes with comprehensive documentation
    • Must have strong initiative and proactively seek new knowledge and tools.
    • Tech Savvy. Familiarity with commonly used tools and systems in Amazon/E-Commerce, file-sharing systems such as Google drive is preferred
    • Must have strong attention to detail and the natural ability to follow instructions.
    • Proficient in G Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
    • Have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
    • Solve problems, independently.
    • A team player who is trustworthy and respectful of others.
    • Internet bandwidth subscription should be 20 mbps and up (fiber connection preferred).
    • Available back-ups for internet, power outages, and computer issues. 

    Schedule

    • Full-time; 160-hours per month. Monday through Friday
    • The schedule will require working a minimum of 4 U.S. daytime hours (Central time)

    Salary

    • $800-$1150/mo Depending on Experience
