    Company Overview: Join our Team! The Big Chill 30A is a family friendly entertainment complex located on historic 30A, nestled between Alys Beach and Seaside. Our venue hosts 5 restaurants, 3 bars, retail shops, an arcade, an amphitheater for live music and a 25’ LED Jumbotron for sports and movies. We are open year-round, from 7am to 10pm.

    We are now hiring for the spring/summer season! Our restaurant concepts include Nectar, Local Smoke BBQ, Duos, Mile Marker 15 and Tacklebox, all with unique menu offerings. We have both Full Time and Part Time positions available and offer flexible scheduling for students/seasonal employees.

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Expeditor (Expo) to join our restaurant team. The Expo plays a key role in ensuring that every dish leaving the kitchen meets our standards for quality, presentation, and timing. This position acts as the bridge between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff, helping maintain smooth, efficient service and a positive guest experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    Serve as the liaison between kitchen staff and servers, coordinating the flow of orders.

    Ensure accuracy and presentation of all dishes before they are delivered to guests.

    Prioritize and time tickets to maintain efficient service during peak hours.

    Communicate effectively with kitchen staff about modifications, allergies, or special requests.

    Keep the expo station organized, clean, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.

    Ensure hot food stays hot and cold food stays cold before serving.

    Double-check garnishes, plate presentation, and ticket details for accuracy.

    Work closely with servers to ensure timely and correct delivery of all food items.

    Assist in resolving order issues or delays with urgency and professionalism.

    Qualifications

    Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.

    Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

    Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.

    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

    Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

    Must be able to stand for extended periods and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Working Conditions

    Fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.

    Exposure to kitchen heat, food items, and cleaning supplies.

    Requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
