Job Description
SUMMARY
The Account Executive’s primary emphasis is on driving revenue growth through net new clients and client development. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities across new client development, client experience management, marketing communication, and team collaboration. Account Executives qualify potential business opportunities and contact key decision-makers through a combination of targeted sales and marketing strategies while leveraging omnichannel communications to maintain a robust sales pipeline. Successful people in this role are comfortable engaging with businesspeople at all levels and selling critical business services. This requires the ability to use consultative selling techniques (communication skills, questioning, listening techniques, etc.), digital platforms, and the discipline to be persistent while following a daily and weekly plan and demonstrating the desire and drive to become a top-performing sales professional. This role necessitates a proactive approach to both client acquisition and retention, coupled with dynamic marketing communications know-how to elevate the company's brand presence in the respective territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
o Take the lead in coordinating ongoing sales activities for Top 20 Hit List prospects.
* Maximize sales efficiency by properly using account classification, territory management, and automated sales/marketing systems.
o Document 100% of activity in the automated system and set the next action step to keep prospects/clients in the sales pipeline.
Client Experience Management: Execute the Total Client Care sales and engagement strategy to secure 70% or higher client retention. * Effectively onboard clients, establishing clear expectations and accurate account setup (billing, online portal access, service team introductions, communication preferences, client newsletter subscriptions, etc). * Deliver the Client Care Packet to all new clients. * Establish an appropriate cadence for Business Reviews and Renewal terms, at a minimum annually, to review staffing performance, suggest improvements, perform safety tours, showcase additional services and solutions, and solidify investment and staffing terms. * Follow up regularly with key accounts and develop unique value-added sales opportunities, for example, provide Express knowledge-based campaigns and invite them to Express training events (ExpressTalks). * Develop and execute an Account Development Action Plan, including the expected cadence for phone, virtual, and in-person visits, for each Ideal Client to strengthen professional relationships, expand service offerings, and retain accounts. * Using a combination of multiple channels of communication (email, direct mail, social media, targeted advertising), send relevant messages and share helpful insights related to the outcomes our ideal clients desire. * Ensure 100% coverage of ideal clients weekly. * Build relationships with ideal clients through active listening, engagements, and responding to messages and triggers.
Marketing Communication: Execute a Marketing Action Plan to elevate the Express Employment Professionals brand within the territory to produce two client referrals/leads per month. * Work closely with the owner and internal team to develop quarterly marketing and engagement strategies to drive brand awareness and lead generation. * Create a content inventory of innovative and consistent communication (pitch decks, success stories, reviews, videos, pricing, data) focusing on the ideal client's desired outcomes that Express delivers. * Daily utilization and engagement on social media platforms, post, like, share, comment, and respond to posts at least 5 times per day, focusing on relevant client information to increase branding, engagement/communication, and lead generation. * Utilize a detailed understanding of the buyer’s journey and marketing funnel stages to execute Express Marketing programs, create at least one blog post and one video post, and distribute content on social platforms on a weekly basis. * Maintain, refine, and utilize the Express automated marketing tools to develop and distribute marketing emails, white papers, and client/prospect value-added content to target accounts weekly. * Manage targeted advertising campaigns to specific companies and decision-makers/influencers. * Research accounts, identify needs and which DM’s/influencers value these outcomes. * Follow every prospect on each social media channel and subscribe to their blogs. Monitor and engage in conversations across social media, identifying real-time issues for escalation, as well as engagement opportunities and emerging trends. * Create and maintain listening dashboards to stay current on relevant postings. Establish digital alerts for specific keywords and information related to target accounts. Follow media outlets and industry news relevant to the markets our ideal clients and prospects serve. Review all sources, dashboards, and digital alerts for actionable insights daily. * Maximize online reputation through “why us” marketing that includes Net Promoter Client and Talent rankings, increasing online reviews by a minimum of 2 per week, and utilizing positive reviews across multiple marketing channels and promotional materials. * Collaborate with the team to plan, execute, and promote special events (ExpressTalks, Monday Morning Leadership, etc.) as well as plan and participate in other events (networking, workshops, training, presentations) both in-person and virtual to increase brand awareness and attract clients and prospects to do business with the Express office. * Evaluate the performance of content through established analytical reports while constantly experimenting to improve and optimize performance across all channels. * Ensure content on the Express website is relevant to our ideal client outcomes. * Research new and emerging digital marketing and social media tools and trends.
Effectively work with and communicate with the internal team. * Meet with the inside team daily to ensure sales and recruiting are in sync and clients’ needs are being met.
Conduct business in accordance with Express Guidelines and applicable Federal/State Legal Guidelines. * Develop a thorough knowledge of the staffing and placement services offered by Express as well as pricing techniques and strategies. * Must have thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Equal Pay Act, and Pregnancy Discrimination Act, as they relate to employment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• 4-year degree, preferably in marketing/business communications or a combination of work experience and education
• Demonstrated success with direct sales and social selling in a B2B or B2C environment.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, & Outlook, social media platforms, automated sales/marketing systems, sales lead tools, operating platforms, targeted advertising platforms, and email marketing tools.
• Creative software experience preferred.
• CMS experience preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, media, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings. Edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively.
COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS: ****
The job requires skillful use of various computer and digital applications including web, digital marketing, database, spreadsheet, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communication by e-mail, and use of scheduling software.
• Working knowledge of digital networking platforms
• Experience with Content Management Systems preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Primary activities are conducted within a well-lit, climate-controlled office.
• Occasional trips to client locations require travel and potential exposure to weather.
• Climb stairs and carry necessary marketing materials, gifts, and supplies.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and maintain the normal range of body motion.
• Must be able to work effectively under stress.
• Occasional out-of-town trips may be required.
