Job Description
DIRECT HIRE
RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as a liaison between all parties within the title and settlement process (home buyer, builder, lender, agents, HOA, etc.). Handle all aspects of settlement transactions. Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proration, and percentages. Have an understanding of the title documents (commitments and policies), loan documents, and contracts/purchase agreements. Schedule closings, stay on task with due dates and in constant communication with the appropriate parties. Complete closing transactions by assembling documents, reviewing documents with parties, explaining provisions and procedures, answering questions, checking documents for completeness and accuracy, and obtaining signatures. Facilitate transaction funding. Review escrow accounting reports and resolve any outstanding check or open file balance issues. Comply with regulatory requirements by enforcing adherence to the applicable requirements. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks (book of business), and participating in professional organizations. Proactive, problem solver, team player, high attention to detail and high-level customer service skills. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. Notary Public required. Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of Title & Escrow Insurance experience. Active Texas Escrow Officer License preferred. RamQuest experience a plus, but not required.
