Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for Technicians for a research and development company located in Irvine, in the technology industry. Paying DOE Evaluation to hire.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm

Position Summary: The Lab Technician works to conduct experiments with a focus on product or process improvement. The work may be self-guided, or it may be guided or supported by scientists or engineers. The work takes place in an Li-Ion research laboratory environment, and involves handling of chemicals, raw materials, and assembled products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs assembly and testing of products and systems in a safe and careful manner per procedures and instructions provided by supervisor and engineering.
• Utilizes hand tools, measurement, and test instruments for test processes, and use systems/software e.g., word processing/spreadsheet applications etc. to record and format data and creating charts, log sheets, etc.
• Builds and maintains test set ups, documents, organizes, and compiles test data for testing performed, communicates test results to relevant individuals.
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on records (e.g., device history records).
• Maintains testing facilities 5S standards by keeping work area clean and organized.
• Maintains and follows lab related work instructions, procedures, and equipment manuals. Assists in the analysis of product and processes, liaise with relevant functions as necessary e.g., quality, manufacturing engineering, research, customer support and operations department.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of Testing experience in a production environment
• Knowledge of precision measuring tools and reading blue prints is a must
• Ability to perform calculations using calculator
• Ability to read gages and micrometers
• Clean room experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong Dexterity and detail oriented
• Strong math, communication (verbal and written), and computer skills
• Must be flexible and willing to undergo cross training
